How to Caucus for John Edwards in Nevada

It’s as Easy as 1-2-3!

At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19th, Democrats all over Nevada will gather in their precinct to help select the Democratic nominee for the 2008 Presidential election. The results of the Nevada Caucus will be watched all over the world.

Caucusing is different than voting, but just as easy! You just have to show up to your neighborhood caucus and show your support for John Edwards and his plans to build One America.

Your caucus location will be just a short distance from your house. To find out your neighborhood caucus location, you can click here or call the Edwards for President Nevada Headquarters at (702) 434-3978.

On Caucus Day, make sure you arrive on time. Doors will close at Noon sharp.

Step 1 – Show Up and Sign-In

On the morning of January 19th, you'll arrive at your neighborhood caucus location at 11:00 a.m. and there will be signs directing you to where your precinct will be caucusing. You should see many of your neighbors there ready to caucus as well! If you're a registered Democrat, you sign-in with just your name and address.

Not registered or not a Democrat? Don't worry! You can register at the door, as long as you will be 18 by November 4, 2008, or you can change your party at the door if you are currently registered as a Republican or Independent.

Step 2 – Find Other John Edwards Supporters

Once you are signed in, look for the John Edwards Precinct Captain for your area. They'll be easy to spot; they'll be the ones wearing all the John Edwards gear. Have a seat, talk to your neighbors about John's bold solutions to build One America, and wait for the Caucus to begin!

Step 3 – Be Counted!

After a couple procedural items, the Precinct Chair will ask everyone to separate into groups based on their choice for President. All you have to do is make sure you're in the group with the other John Edwards supporters. If you need help, the John Edwards Precinct Captain will help you find where to go.

Caucusing in Nevada is as easy as 1-2-3. The whole process shouldn’t take more than an hour and you can make the difference in helping John Edwards become the next President of the United States!
