ROCHESTER –Presidential candidate John Edwards' campaign is gearing up for a slew of policy forums across the state, including one on veterans issues in Dover.
The forums, to begin next week, will give voters the chance to talk with senior policy staff about the candidate's policies concerning Iraq, veterans issues, the environment, disability issues and health care.
The campaign promises the forums will go "beyond 'sound bite' answers."
Campaign Manager David Bonior, a former congressman, and the senior policy staff will join New Hampshire voters to discuss what they see as Edwards' bold and detailed policies. These forums will offer the opportunity to hear in-depth voter comments, questions, and suggestions.
On Tuesday, a Dover veterans policy forum will be held at the campaign's 40 Chestnut Street office. General Gregory Speedy Martin, a campaign adviser who retired from the Air Force in 2005 and is currently a member of the Air Force Studies Group, will attend.
On Wednesday, a Portsmouth disabilities policy forum will be held at the campaign's 195 Hanover Street, Suite 34, office.
The events are free and open to the public. For more information or to RSVP go to www.johnedwards.com/nh/events.
