Manchester, NH – As part of the John Edwards "Stand Strong" campaign, Elizabeth Edwards returned to New Hampshire today for the first of two days of Graniteroots campaigning, attending two house parties and a fundraiser for the Concord Young Democrats.
"We're excited to have Elizabeth in New Hampshire talking about John Edwards' vision for this country and his belief that we must stand strong against the corporate interests who have run Washington for too long," said Edwards for President New Hampshire State Director Beth Leonard. "If universal health care and halting global warming are going to be anything more than just campaign promises, we need a president who will reject special interests and put Washington back to work for regular people."
During the "Stand Strong" campaign, Elizabeth will discuss John Edwards' bold and detailed proposals for health care reform, smart and safe trade policies, ending the war in Iraq and restoring America's moral authority in the world.
Elizabeth will continue campaigning throughout New Hampshire tomorrow, starting the day at a canvassing kickoff with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in Manchester. On Sunday, she will be joined in New Hampshire by John Edwards and their children, Emma Claire and Jack to continue the "Stand Strong" campaign.
