45 days. There are just 45 days, and we’re being generous with that number because it could be even sooner, until the New Hampshire primary. That’s not a whole lot of time. That’s why this Saturday and Sunday we want to offer you a special post-Thanksgiving workout that will enable you to simultaneously melt away those tryptophan-filled calories AND work to elect John Edwards.

Sign-up to canvass and phonebank at your local office this weekend simply by clicking on this big green volunteer button:

Last weekend Elizabeth Edwards visited New Hampshire, you can watch a clip from a house party (above) that she attended in Hampton Falls. If you didn't have a chance to join Elizabeth last weekend you can RSVP for an event this coming weekend. This Sunday and Monday John Edwards will also be in town for house parties and town halls. You can find an event near you right here

As primary day gets closer we’re also getting closer to the selection process for New Hampshire delegates to attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver in 2008. We will be holding caucuses on December 15th to select our New Hampshire delegates to represent the Edwards campaign. If you’re interested in becoming a delegate you must fill out the official form by December 5th. Fill out the delegate form here: www.nhdp.org/free_details.asp?id=90

John had an amazing performance in last night’s debate out in Nevada - watch one of his stand out moments right here and then sign-up to volunteer this weekend.

After last night’s debate it’s clear that crunch time has arrived. Now is the time to get involved, learn more and spread the word about John right here in New Hampshire. You can start right NOW by signing up to join us for a weekend of canvassing and phonebanking or by joining Elizabeth Edwards for a town hall meeting or house party this weekend.

John Edwards Talks with Veterans in Concord and Plymouth about his Plans to Address PTSD

Yesterday, Monday, November 12th, John Edwards met and talked with veterans at the VFW post 1631 in Concord and he spoke about his five-point-plan to address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during a speech at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.

I spoke with John Sammel, a veteran of WWII, after the Concord event and he told me that it was only a few months ago that he decided to support Edwards after he heard Edwards speak in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Now John is an avid supporter and volunteer. He believes so strongly in John Edwards’ plans for vets and his plans for the country that he regularly visits the Portsmouth office to make calls to his fellow vets to urge them to learn more about John and his plans for providing medical, educational and job assistance to our veterans. John went on to say that Edwards reminded him of FDR because:

“FDR was a very straight-forward, talk from the shoulder, he said what had to be said, he wasn’t afraid to say it and that’s the same way with John. He’s not afraid to say what needs to be done. He’s not wishy washy.”

Above is a video of my conversation with John Sammel and excerpts of Edwards address at Plymouth State where he outlined his plan to address PTSD

Yesterday, John also talked a lot about how what this country needs right now is someone they can trust, and someone who will fight for them. The audience of students and local activists at Plymouth responded in loud cheers when John talked about how he's not only been fighting big, special interests and multi-billion dollar corporations his whole life, but he's been fighting and winning and that's what he will continue to do as president. John went on to say that as president he will:

"

Give Americans hope, and will give these powerful interests that are stopping America from getting what it needs, hell"
